Kartschoke’s Cruising In The Caribbean- Day 4

 

Today is our first day in port! (yay) We are going to Roatan, Honduras. After waking up and doing our morning duties, we ate a nice breakfast and came back to our room and got together with our family that was going to be going to the same place as us for the day. We headed down to the deck were you get off and got off the ship.

After our welcoming committee, we looked around our port and then got on our bus. When we were driving through the town, we noticed it was very poor. But, when we got to the beach we were happy. It was beautiful.

We set up our bags and then I got my hair braided! We hung around the beach until it started raining and then we went under a covering until it stopped. When it stopped we went snorkeling and it was amazing! We saw a ton of fish and a coral reef!

After we went snorkeling we were hungry so we had lunch. After a nice local lunch we played in the sand. Jared (my brother) and Andre (my cousin) build cool sand chairs and sat in them. And then we went snorkeling again and my mom Michele came with us and we had a lot of fun! We were really tired from all of our swimming so we dried off and went back to the bus and took it back to the boat.

When we got back on the boat we were all wet and smelly so we all took showers and got our dinner clothes on and the kids headed to the kids club for an hour before dinner and then headed to dinner.

After dinner we saw a really cool acrobat show and then we went in for the night.

Kartschoke’s Cruising in The Caribbean-Day 3

Today is our first day at sea! A free day to relax pool side with a book…. not with the Kartschokes! After we got ourselves ready for the day we headed off to breakfast at a fancy place for suite guests only ( ooh la la ). The food was really good.

 

 

 

 

We then went on deck to play shuffle board and our cousin met up with us.

We all played some basket ball and then we headed back inside the ship. Me and my mom headed to a lounge area to see a cooking demo about  the foods they cook in the fancier restaurants. It was very cool. After that we all went swimming for a bit. Then we went to the kids club for free time. After that we saw our dad in the Mr. sexy legs contest ( it wasn’t as good as it sounds…). He didn’t win but it was cool. Then, we went to lunch and had ice cream. After that, Jared went to a sports activity and we went swimming again. Then we all did a digital scavenger hunt which was cool ( we took pictures with our camera).

Then, we went for a walk on one of the decks that goes all outside. We got to see the very beck of the ship which was awesome. When that was done, we went to our room and got ready for dinner. And then headed down to the “lobby” of the cruise to take some fancy pictures. then we went to dinner with almost all of our family!

When we were finished dining, we took a trip to the photo room to see some photos they had taken of us, And we went to the show at 9:15 but, we were so tired we didn’t stay for all of it. So that concludes our first full day on our cruise ship. See you tomorrow!!

Kartschoke’s Cruising in The Caribbean: Day 2

Time to board the ship! We woke up in the hotel and then headed down to breakfast. We hung around in the hotel and took a walk around the hotel. After that we got ready to take our bus. The bus didn’t come on time and then the bus that did come broke down! when our bus finally came we headed to the port. We met up with our Aunt, uncle and cousin again. Also, we saw our grandparents and my great aunt who was also going to be on the cruise. We got checked in and got our room keys. Then we got on the ship. It was so cool. Then our butler ( how cool!) took us to our room. We loved our room. We walked through the ship to eat lunch with our family who is going to be on the ship.

 

We walked around the ship and then went to our mandatory life boat drill. After that, we went up to the pool deck to the sail away party where there was lots of dancing and music, then we started moving! Then, we went to meet all of our relatives that were going to be on the cruise.

 

 

We headed back to our room and relaxed and got ready for dinner. Then we went to dinner with our aunt, uncle, and cousin.

And,when we were finished we headed down to the theater to catch the show at 7:15. When it was finished we went to the kids club and played some fun games. After that we were wiped so, we went to our room to get some sleep for the next day.

Kartschoke’s Cruising in The Caribbean: Day 1

 

This past January we took another fun vacation on a cruise to the western Caribbean. We flew into Tampa from Manchester because the cruise was boarding in Tampa. When we got to the airport, we stopped at a restaurant to eat and then waited for our shuttle to come pick us up. When the shuttle came  we got on and went to our hotel to check in. After we got to the hotel we went to our Aunt Kathy’s house who lives right near Tampa. We went there and bounced on her trampoline, it was really fun.  After all that fun, we went inside and had Chinese food for dinner and then we headed back to our hotel to get some sleep.

Kartschokes Having Fun in Florida: Day 7

This is our last day on vacation .

We just had to get some Mickey waffles for breakfast.

Now we started hunting for the hidden Mickeys at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Sadly all good things come to an end and we took a few final pictures at the Lodge.

We next went to downtown Disney to do some shopping and grab a bite to eat before heading to Tampa and take our flight home.

We had to stop into the Lego store. Then a flight back to Boston and this vacation comes to an end.

Kartschokes Having Fun in Florida: Day 6

Today we actually left Disneyworld and went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure park.  Can you guess why we went ….  Harry Potter.

After walking through  Hogsmeade and stopping to take a picture with the Hogwarts Express we went of the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.  We did not know what to expect because it was a wild ride with lots of crazy twists and turns as well as coming face to face with a dragon.

After the wild ride inside the castle we had to get some butterbeer, frozen of course.

Jared took each of us on his favorite ride, the Pteranodon Flyers.  Here is Jared & Michele flying.

When we entered Olivanders wand shop, after waiting in long line, Alexa was picked to try out some wands.  She tried out 2 wands that caused some havoc in the shop but the 3rd wand was a perfect match.

In the Cat in the Hat area we tried several rides.

 

Lastly we had to try a raft ride called Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and we got totally soaked. Luckily it was a sunny day and we all dried off pretty quickly.

We finished off this night back at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a great dinner at Boma’s (yummy).  Also we were able to use night vision goggles to see a couple of animals after dark that were near the lodge.
